Flow Music Therapy is proud to offer a unique opportunity for you to create live music with your child in a relaxing and supportive environment.
Engagement in musical activity from a young age can assist cognitive development, language acquisition, and important executive functioning self-regulation skills (such as memory, control, and cognitive flexibility) . Once-a-week sessions are structured to incorporate and nurture the skills your children have already developed, by engaging with them musically. Playing music in a group setting can also be very relaxing for parents - no previous musical experience is required to join. Fun and easy musical activities are designed according to your musical tastes, creating opportunities for you to communicate with your child in new and exciting ways!
Activities include:
· singing nursery rhymes and popular songs
· rhythm games using fun and colourful percussions
· relaxation through listening and focused activities
· movement songs and dancing
· music listening
· musical improvisation on provided (baby friendly!) instruments
